Frequently asked questions
What does therapy look like?
We offer one-to-one sessions, held weekly, for 50 minutes. To begin with, we meet parents to discuss family background and concerns. We will then have an introductory session with the young person to discuss working together. Each session is held at the client’s pace, discussing whatever they want to bring, and using whatever materials they are comfortable with.
Where are sessions held?
We hold sessions face-to-face in central Ipswich, in schools and online.
How does family therapy work?
Family therapy considers shared history, relational patterns and current challenges – not to apportion blame, but to create space for mutual understanding and for each voice to be heard.
This can include traditional nuclear families as well as blended, extended and estranged families
How much does it cost?
Fees start from £60 per session for individuals.
An initial parent interview lasting around 1.5 hours costs £40.
